Car Accident Uninsured?

I was in a car accident yesterday and it was my mom's car and she was uninsured in wisconsin. The other car's damages were 7,200 dollars. The police wasn't involved. She is contacting her insurance company about the damages. Is a police report needed for the insurance to fix her car? Will we have to go to court? Would I have to pay the 7,200 dollars or the deductable? Help!!!!!
