Is the past still occurring?

Are past events still happening alongside those of our time frame. I've read that people capable of astral projection can sometimes travel into the past becuase is is recorded in the ether. So does that mean people there are continually experiencing events as well. Even Einstein said that time is an illusion. What do you think? Tell me your thoughts.
